The RICAL process®

The RICAL® process was invented in 1960, 10 years after the invention of the Netlon process, consisting in extruding a square or rectangular mesh.

It's a standard square die head but the die is composed of an anvil and of a knife moving up and down on the anvil, closing and opening the die.
When the knife is on down position, the die is closed, so the material flow has no choice but to pass through the slots of the knife forming the longitudinal strand (vertical strand).
When the knife is on up position, the die is open, so the material flow can pass all around the anvil forming a ring, the lateral strand (the horizontal strand). This movement is activated by an hydraulic jack and controlled by a frequency generator.

Since 1992, Corelco works on RICAL and propose full range of extrusion line covering all the netting applications :

- non oriented
- mono-oriented
- bi-oriented
- tubular
